Wanted: Bag 3 large compartments...1 for baby, 1 for toddler, 1 for Me. At least 1 water bottle pocket and external (but very easy to get into) pocket(s) for keys, phone, etc. Must, when accidentally dumped, not spill contents. Needs to have strap for carrying like messenger bag.

Preferably washable and stylish

lots of small misc internal pocket bags, and 'thermal' bottle bags need not apply.

Changing mat not mandatory

I would suggest a rucksack suitable for hikers but if you want a shoulder slung bag then pass.

worraliberty · 26/06/2011 21:53

I was just going to say...Yes it exists in the form of a rucksack!

SignOnTheWindow · 26/06/2011 21:55

You need a Jansport rucksack.

Stylish bags are invariably crap and impractical ime.

SwearyMary · 26/06/2011 21:56

You need "thats sew shelby" on fb. No, I am not advertising nor am I shelby but shelby made me a bag to my specification a couple of weeks ago. Its fabulous!

I've not found any rucksacks which have 3 compartments...they're all one big single compartment you have to dig through to find the stuff at the bottom??? What sort have you two seen?

rucksack!!!! got mine from trespass wouldn't be without it. side net pockets fit DS1 sport bottle and DS2 juice cup. front zip pocket takes my wallet keys and phone. front zip compartment takes DS1 books or toys and some snacks. Main compartment takes spare clothes for DS2, wipes and his toys. perfect for a day out and leaves me with both hands free for swinging arms with my boys....

also doesn't leave me with one sore shoulder cos weight is evenly distributed...

I got a really good leather bag with strap from Viking (stationary catalogue) some time ago. It has three big compartments inside and two external pockets, big enough to hold purse, phone, lipgloss and wipes. All the things you need in a hurry.

I have a 3 compartment rucksack with lots of internal pockets but no water bottle holder) from Decathlon.

HidinginaHardHat · 26/06/2011 22:16

Go to any outdoors shop and they'll have loads, even some shoe shops stock them!

IDrinkFromTheirSkulls · 26/06/2011 22:18

I have a JuJuBe BeAll. Not got 3 compartments but it has loads of room and lots of pockets. And it's pretty!

rogersmellyonthetelly · 26/06/2011 22:23

Speak to a custom pushchair person, they will make you a bag to your spec in the fabric of your choice and it won't cost you the earth like some of the branded ones do.

bebemooneedsabreak · 26/06/2011 22:25

Yeah backpacks aren't going to cut it... :( (already have one and the stuff gets lost in the bottom of the bag, leaving for lots of digging) Plus there's not enough room to put enough stuff in it without it getting all misshapen. I need enough room for nappies (clean and dirty), wipes, salve, clothes, changing mat, muslin, toddler snacks and a handful of toys, a spare shirt for myself as well as phone, keys, camera, sunblock, mini first aid kit, painkillers and wallet.
I really just want to open the bag and pull out the stuff I need for either a baby change or a toddler change and not have to spend 5 minutes looking for the salve which has settled to the bottom... stomp stomp stomp Wink
