he's just admitted that he's ordered £100 worth of stuff from Next at a time when I'm desperately trying to cut our debt.

From this £100 all he's ordered are a t-shirt and jeans for DS and two sets of 2 pyjamas for £21 EACH!!

All this stuff would have been half the price in Asda. It's not been paid for, its on my credit account.

Can you return it?

CallMeBubblesEverybodyDoes · 26/06/2011 10:06

My DH does stuff like that; I would return it all

ENormaSnob · 26/06/2011 10:11

Return it.

HerHissyness · 26/06/2011 10:12

send it all back and change the password on your accounts. how DARE he? Angry

Flisspaps · 26/06/2011 10:12

Send it back. Change the password on the account.

thebeansmum · 26/06/2011 11:29

Yeh, you don't have any obligation to pay Next untill you decide you want the stuff. Just call them, they will send a courier to collect it all.

Xales · 26/06/2011 11:36

Return all of the items.

Change the password on the account or cancel it.

Sit down and have a serious chat and show him all the finances and that you as a couple are not in a position to do this right now.

No wonder you are in debt, £21 for pjs, what a rip off!!! Sad

Crossssssshairs · 26/06/2011 12:10

Agree with the above, return it.

foreverondiet · 26/06/2011 13:52

Ok a mistake but luckily easy to return.

Pumpernickel10 · 26/06/2011 13:57

Let him buy it if it's his money as you spend yours on coke Grin

overthehillmum · 26/06/2011 14:01

I use next online, and I am sure if it hasn't been delivered yet you can go onto your account and cancel anything that hasn't been delivered yet.

Cookster · 26/06/2011 14:03

Why does he have access to your credit account?

PinotsKittens · 26/06/2011 14:04

Close your Next A/C whilst you're at it. Next are shite Grin

fuzzpigFriday · 26/06/2011 14:07

Shock what is worst is that it is in YOUR credit account! DH and I have each other's bank/card details, and use them quite a bit depending on who is more in the black at the time. But we always check first - the only exception being if it's under about a tenner and it's something essential (groceries).

We share all money, but especially as we are not well off, we always discuss big purchases. £100 on a few clothes is ridiculous if you're in debt. What a knob.

Is he depressed? Retail therapy? Or is he just a financial ostrich, so to speak?

EricNorthmansMistress · 26/06/2011 18:26

BTW Littlewoods online is much better than Next - cheaper and 0% credit, free delivery and free returns - just saying.

fuzzpig · 27/06/2011 10:40

OP have you sorted this out yet?

somethingwitty82 · 27/06/2011 12:13
