Couriers leaving parcels in unsecure places

AIBU to make a complaint to the courier and the company who used the courier for sticking a note through my door saying my order was down the "back of the bin" and leaving my £50+ order of school uniform out it my very dodgy street?

My neighbours are dealers and burglars (heard them talking about nicking tellies and the like) and this is a rough as hell street, and my front door is right on the street so it's not like it was out of the way or out of sight.

YANBU. I get this a lot.

Do complain! It's ridiculous, we've had parcels left hanging from our door handle/in front of the door/in our recycling bin on collection day.

Yes I get this too.
Same thing, rough street, front door right on the street.

It's such a stupid thing to do- why not just chuck it out the van while driving along...?

One of my friends (lovely, but quite tough looking!) caught some lads wandering off with a parcel left next to my wheelie bin. It was put back. Wink
