We are completely refurbishing our new house.

I'm pregnant, miserable, suffering from sickness and waiting for our old house to sell.

I'm sick to my back fucking teeth of DIY shops and timber merchants.

I now have to pick two themes for our new house. Colour themes for the sitting room and our bedroom. I have been up with 4 with bastard hayfever, ds (15 months) will be up in the next hour or two and I need to go to Focus, buy what I need and leave to put my feet up.

Please help me to decide, to keep my sanity.

I'd go neutral, beigey linen colours for both then you can get back quick. later when you are feeling up to it you can add colour with accessories

I thought about that, which leads me to be stuck with beige carpet in the sitting room (with a 15 month old and one en route) probably not a good idea. Have had a play room built with bleach scrubbable carpet, but I won't "ban" them from the sitting room....

beige carpet is safe, all other colours look shite anyway

Ha! Thanks.

Shall I call you to clean it once the muddy foot prints are all over it?!
