We have been to the park this morning, I want to stay in this afternoon as we are potty training and going out is a bit stressful.

Just had lunch; he is currently watching tv. I have been a bit rubbish lately, am pg and knackered and he's watched too much tv so I want a tv free and productive afternoon and need some inspiration please! Not much crafty stuff in the house - no paints/glitter etc.

thanks

Hide and seek! My 3yo loves it. Let him in the garden to play... Erm bake cakes or just bake

Baking? He can help crack eggs, stir etc
Drawing - just a pen & some A4 paper
Make sock puppets (old socks & button eyes) & put on a show for each other

Little assault course in the living room - jumping over cushions, crawling under a blanket -and things of that ilk.

Put some music on and have a little disco.

Sit and read a book and then act it out together.

Have you any character figures? - You could rein-act his favourite cbeebies programme.

A great game i saw on here that I've done with dd1 when heavily pregnant is play libraries. Get them to get the books out, you sit on the sofa and ask them for different books. They find them and pretend to stamp them and hand them to you. Shopkeepers is good too. get tins, pretend food a till and some bags on a table and shop 1950's style with them serving you. both games mean you can sit down and play.

Give them a carrier bag and tell him he has 20 minutes to find as many things that are blue and put the in the bag scavenger hunt style. He can them order them in the shade of colour and draw a blue picture etc. You can count them, put them in alphabetical order etc. My 2 love it!
