For not wanting DD called Meatloaf?

Family have always called DD (2) meatloaf and it's started to annoy me a bit because lets face it its not exactly a compliment is it but because I've let it go on so long its going to cause a stir when I ask them to stop.
I know they're only playing around but AIBU to say its gone on long enough?

What a horrible thing to be called how does DD feel?

What a bizarre name to call a little two year old girl... Where on earth did it come from? YANBU to put a stop to it, and do it soon!

My DS was always called Fat Pants by us...cos he did massive wees in his nappies that made them look swollen

He's 12 now and uses that name as his 'Gaming' nickname when playing his friends.

It started when she was a baby my brother said she looked like Meatloaf and everyone else thought it was hilarious but I never expected it to stick and it has or even worse it gets shortened to "meats" so in soft play or park etc my sister/brother/mum or sometimes even DH will shout stuff like "come on Meats" and it sounds awful for a little girl.

I think it was ok when she was a baby, but it does need to stop now. Otherwise you are at risk of it sticking all through her childhood.

Oh yes that is awful...we didn't used to use the nickname outside of the house.

I think a basic - yes the name was very funny when dd was small but now she is a bigger girl please can you stop as tbh we do not find it funny anymore.

If they don't stop then more action would be called for calling them Uncle Fugly etc.. (childish but them the behaviour is childish!)

Oh and challenge them EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. you need to get on top of this before your dd really understands.
