DH has befriended (on FB) lots of girls who are models. All wearing not a great deal- but hey he can be pals with who he wants!

What I am a bit uncomfortable with is that all his posts on their Walls and theirs on his Walls are signed off with xx and hon and stuff. They "like" everything he does. He's "tagged" in their underwear shots n stuff.
I never "xx" on any posts, why would I "xx" a perfect stranger.

I feel like sending them a message saying who are you?

Oh, they all have pictures of Megan Fox as their profile by the way. DH slightly stroppy when I helpfully pointed this out.

Is your dh 12?

KateMiddletonsMum · 22/06/2011 07:57

Grin no, 40

My brother has about 600 of these 'models' as friends. The difference is he is single and likes to chat to them...
I think that he should respect you a bit more as it is a little weird why he would want to actually have them posting on his wall etc.

What would he say if you told him that you didn't like it?

BarbaraBar · 22/06/2011 08:01

Who are these models?

How did he meet them? Or are they just the old mingers from the phone in porn channels?

KateMiddletonsMum · 22/06/2011 08:17

I don't know how he "met" them, some of them claim to be sisters of Jared Leto so maybe he was researching him!

I have said be friends with who you want but please don't xx on all their posts

So I dunno if I'm being unreasonable or not

kaid100 · 22/06/2011 08:20

Maybe he'd get even stroppier if you pointed out that the women in the photos are probably not the same women that set up the accounts or are speaking to him. In fact, I bet the people he is speaking to are males who are getting off on it.

There used to be a saying There are no girls on the internet which is no longer strictly true but still applies to cases like this, where someone puts up pictures of models and gets all kissy with random strangers.

GastonTheLadybird · 22/06/2011 08:27

It's completely inappropriate as well as being utterly pathetic. I could never find a man attractive who spent time on Facebook tracking down and chatting to 'models'.

YABU to message the girls, YANBU to ask your DP to block them all.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 22/06/2011 08:28

How utterly bizarre. I don't really understand FB because I don't have it.
I would be a little Hmm about my DH putting XXs on pictures. Presumably they are kisses?

spookshowangel · 22/06/2011 08:28

my exh did this as well it made me a bit Hmm but i let it go because as you say you can be friend with who you want. he had over 1000 friends at one point. most " hot" semi naked "models" who seemed to seemed to spend all day chatting with their fans. they all xx and loved everything from the bottom of their breasts i wouldn't worry really, its kind of there job or something i think. though i would be a bit Hmm at why your dp feels the need to collect "hot" friends on his profile like a hobby.

It's childish and very disrespectful towards you OP, and it sends the wrong message. I'd be really pissed off if it was me. My DH would be VERY upset if the shoe was on the other foot and I was "Hun-ing" and "xxxx-ing" buff men on FB where all my (and his) friends and family could see. At best it's rude and at worst- why is he messaging them all the time when he has a lovely wife he can talk to?

eyethangyou · 22/06/2011 08:33

I think you should be asking your DH who he is. You might find the answer is "a juvenile prat"

SaryLiz · 22/06/2011 08:34

Is your DH flattered by all the attention? If so, perhaps you should point out that the reason they use pictures of Megan Fox as their profile is because they are very sad lonely, possibly ugly women who have no other friends and he is their last resort! :)
Other than that, I would be slightly worried that some of them are in fact lonely teens looking for a father figure and your husband could be accused of something that is not entirely innocent (I'm not suggesting that he is anything but innocent but the perception from others could be different).

NestaFiesta · 22/06/2011 08:39

SaryLiz has got a good point. He could be exposing himself to a can of worms.

Fairycakewithsprinkles · 22/06/2011 08:46

OMG!!! Your husband does this??

If I found my DH doing this I think I would get my mates to join in and thoroughly take the piss out of him on FB. He may then realise what an utter twat he is being - but reckon it could be quite amusing to do as well!!!

PredictableDullard · 22/06/2011 08:52

your dh is a tit, he is simply befriending his own kind

ShoutyHamster · 22/06/2011 09:07

Most of the hot models probably don't even exist, or if they do they are actually 50-something gargoyles with no teeth whose closest sniff of the modelling world has been sending stuff back to the Littlewoods catalogue when it doesn't fit. They aren't the issue at all.

Your DH on the other hand is a great worry. Does he not have any real-life friends? A job? Does he spend any time in the real world where he might soon realise that this behaviour screams 'inadequate, sexually insecure teenager'? How embarrassing for you. He really is a tit. Show him this thread. Then close his facebook, confine his modelly activities to ONE copy of Bella a month, and make him grow a beard.

worraliberty · 22/06/2011 09:13

Models my arse! They're probably big fat hairy men pretending Grin

Seriously though, I'd have to wonder why.

My cousin found her ex having 'cyber sex' with someone on FB...he was jerking off with the chat box open when she walked in on him Shock

Triathlete · 22/06/2011 09:19

YANBU, but I'd asko what's he getting from them that he's not getting in the real world?

I'm not being deliberately unpleasant, but I think this (rather pathetic) behaviour is a sign that perhaps there is something wrong in your relationship, and maybe you should open discussions about it.

Flisspaps · 22/06/2011 09:23

He's being a twat. They're probably all hairy truckers called Alan or Barry.

Shouty Thanks for the reminder, have a dress to send back to Littlewoods...

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 22/06/2011 09:33

Arf at PredictableDullard Grin

I cant imagine a universe where my DH would trawl fb for models to befriend. It's extremely juvenile. Are they lonely models? Without any friends? Do they need 40 year old married men to appreciate them in their pants? Bizarre.

sparkle12mar08 · 22/06/2011 09:37

What a pathetic, sad little man. And he's your husband?! You actually married him?...

PersonalClown · 22/06/2011 09:40

It is a bit weird, isn't it?

Do you think he gets an ego boost from having these gorgeous 'girls' talking to him??

Oh and one more thing to piss him off tell him...
Jared Leto doesn't have any sisters! One full brother, Shannon and 2 half brothers.

(Jared/30STM fan here)

KateMiddletonsMum · 22/06/2011 12:38

Jared Leto has no sisters!! Holy shit, that'll upset him Grin
Thank you for all the advice and suggestions, I did ask him a few months ago not to put xxx on his posts to other women and he didn't for a while (I invaded his Facebook and put great blocks of xxxx's after every post of his- he got the message then!

KateMiddletonsMum · 22/06/2011 12:39
