uh well.. Dh & i have been married for 1 year now and since.. 1h ago we're officially ttc...

I
Am
So
Scared!!!!!!!

He was laughing at me for

"omg. Do i move now? Should i? I heard my stomach making a funny noise. Did you?? what can i eat now? Im going on mumsnet!!"

Been a lurker for a while but was kinda waiting for him to initiate it...

I know it might not happen for a while which is why we decided to start early (22 & 23) but it doesn't make it less scary!!!

I don't get what you mean about moving? Confused

Bogeyface · 21/06/2011 01:54

You sound perfectly normal to me! The scared shitless and MN/Googling is just what we do, infact the amount of women I know that have conceived via internet makes me wonder how the hell the human race ever managed before the information super highway :o

Welcome to the wonderful world of ttc/pg/parenthood. Its mental but you soon get used to it!

I hope it happens for you soon :)

Bogeyface · 21/06/2011 01:54

Worra, I suspect she means moving after....it ...you know....it :o

worraliberty · 21/06/2011 01:56

Oh fuck, I thought she meant moving house...tell me to go to bed now! Blush Grin

Islanzadi · 21/06/2011 02:06

Hahahaha yes sorry tmi with that but it was all very new!

And then you can ttc again Grin

I have heard that if the female stands on her head following coitus non-interruptus it will encourage the squigglies to reach their final destination without undue delay.

However, having heard of conception resulting after coitus interruptus while standing upright immediately after which the female has taken to the dance floor, I am inclined to sprinkle a pinch of salt on the above.

blimey that sounds like it will kill the passion quite dead :)

just one more chore to complete each day

Islanzadi · 21/06/2011 10:52

I'm still trying to learn about calendars and fertility and all that! So much info to take in!

Don't over think it. Let it happen naturally and if it hasn't happened after 5 or 6 months, then start worrying about calendars and charts etc..good luck Smile

pippitysqueakity · 21/06/2011 10:57

I've also heard if you (ahemBlush) have your pleasure after his, the contractions encourage the squigglers in the right direction! (disclaimer, this probably came from some mag or other.) Hope it works out for you.

Islanzadi · 21/06/2011 11:20

ohh i see! i have to say last night was very hard for me to focus because it was such an important thing to take in for me (i'm a bit.. well a LOT - scared of birth) and there are a lot of questions and what ifs but that's just how i am - very organised. impatient and stressy!

if i do get pregnant i wish my husband the best of luck in a few months of hell :P

Ooo, good luck!
DH and I started ttc in March and I got a BFP over the weekend!!
There's some good fertility calendar apps available if you have an iPhone.
Enjoy!
