Sorry if this doesn't make much sense but I'm a tadge overtired right now. I'm currently pregnant and I started a new role in work this week because of it which is taking a bit to get used too. My dh has taken a week off work to have a break and to do some bits around the house. So far nothing has been done. To top it off though our son got up in the night last night with an ear ache, he was crying and upset but my dh wouldnnt deal with him as he was tired I had to get up to see too him, it took a good 2 hours to settle him again. My dh has just packed him off to school. Am I being a bitch to think that if you're not in work and one of the kids need you in the night you should deal with it and that if your ds who is only 11 was up crying in the night for 2 hours and says he can't hear in one ear that maybe he should be kept off school for the day.

Yes, you're right. Talk to DH about it.

Definitely NBU, partiuclarly as your DS is 11.

NBU at all! I'd have booted him out of bed! I'm very lucky, DH does all the night wakings because I don't wake up

And yes, I would have kept him off school too, being deaf needs investigating by a dr
