to want the toothpaste top to be kept clean?

We have the Colgate pump style toothpaste atm and I seem to be forever cleaning globs of toothpaste from around the opening.

When asking in passing to family members if they could please keep it clean, they all come back with either "it wasn't me" or "I always make sure it's clean". So apparently we have someone breaking into our house twice daily just to make the toothpaste tube toothpaste-y . I don't even see how they manage to do it in the first place!

yabnu but you are asking the impossible. Ours is the same.

Oh God me too. I can't bear it. Nothing worse than gettng the chewing gum-like blob on your toothbrush. I gave up the pumps for this very reason but the tubes are just as bad.

Hmm, I don't think anyone will be to blame. When I lived on my own I had the same problem. I think it just eases out slowly, so when they leave the room there probably wasn't anything there.
