I cant be the only one who has a list the length of arm for things i really need to do but just havent done.

today i crossed two items of that list and it feels good, i called the ctc people for a form and i emailed my old lecturer for my certificate. ooh i also emailed an organisation with a start date proposal.

and today i start my first evening working from home! yippee!

am i the only one? whats on your list?

Weeding the paving in the front garden. I can hardly see the garden gate now.
Cleaning out the fluff collector thing in the washing machine.
All the tedious shite that life is too short for frankly.

redexpat · 06/06/2011 12:24

My MIL keeps giving us bedlinen. I need to do a stock take to see exactly what I can throw out we have.

Tidy the dvds.

dolldaggabuzzbuzz · 06/06/2011 12:25

Backing up my digital photo collection should anything happen to the computer. I should do it now.

lesley33 · 06/06/2011 12:31

Lots and lots of things - its depressingly long! And it doesn't have on it "spend more time on mums net".

ragged · 06/06/2011 12:57

Culling stuff of DD's up in the loft.

bananamonkey · 06/06/2011 13:06

Transferring my old pension to my new one
Transferring the bills to the new joint account
Hiring a carpet cleaning machine
Sanding and oiling the worktop
Backing up my laptop
Using teeth whitening strips that I bought ages ago
Booking a massage to use my birthday present of a voucher

I am lazy, good at procrastinating and my memory is like a sieve, not a good combination.

Happymm · 06/06/2011 13:08

knittedbreast · 06/06/2011 13:08

Cleaning out that kitchen cupboard covered in the contents of a jar of honey that leaked about 3 months a while ago, so all the cans are stuck down. I open it every day and look at it in dismay and then close it again.

chunkythighs · 06/06/2011 13:38

paint my en suite (I've been living in this house for a year now and the walls are covered with a patchwork of tester pots Blush).

Get an electrician to do lots of small jobs-apparantly picking up the phone is a huge job.....

Learning the difference between "too" and "to".

Having my eyes tested.

Making a dentists appointment for a check up.
Going through digital pics and actually getting some printed like real photos.
Cleaning out one icky kitchen cupboard where something brown (balsamic vinegar or soy sauce probably) has leaked onto the bottom of everything else.

knittedbreast · 06/06/2011 13:44

TrillianAstra · 06/06/2011 13:46

How exactly are you going to cull me? I am curious :)

whatsallthehullaballoo · 06/06/2011 13:48

I should weed the front garden,
clean behind my toilet,
clean the fish tank,
do a cobweb sweep up my incredibly high stairs,
paint my kitchen door,
and worst of all clear out under the sink ergh.

knittedbreast · 06/06/2011 13:50

File the stacks of paperwork in my home office
Update my will to reflect what I want for dd now vs what I wanted 10 years ago
Look at how my pension is currently invested to see if changes need to be made
Reorganise dd's playroom and throw away / donate old things that are no longer played with (of course, the minute I indicate what should go, those items will suddenly become the most fascinating things dd has....Hmm)
Get rid of (or move to the loft) the two boxes of non-essential stuff still sitting around from our move 4 years ago

aStarInStrangeways · 06/06/2011 13:54

Fill in the tax credits form. It will never happen.
Learn to use my sewing machine.
Clean up that smear in the kitchen cupboard (rotten potato).

Beamur · 06/06/2011 13:54

Cleaning the oven (needs doing but I have little inclination)
Ring the electrician
Update my driving licence - I haven't lived at the address on it for years
Weeding the front garden
Varnishing my bedroom window so I can put the new blind up
Instead I'm going to go swimming.
But I cleaned inside the fridge yesterday.

WipsGlitter · 06/06/2011 13:59

Fill in DS2s DLA form, actually this thread reminded me it was due back today, so I can now add, get DS2 a new DLA form to my list.
Ditto cobwebs - there is one in our bathroom I see every time I have a shower
Call the council to get some large rubbish items taken away
Collect the new shower for the house I rent out (ordered weeks ago)
Ditto honey cupboard
Tidy surface to right of cooker and dressing table top both of which have become dumping grounds
And the really big one is tidy the spare room, it's the biggest bedroom in the house and essentially looks like a junk room.

startail · 06/06/2011 14:01
