To be so upset/angry with dh

I am just in the door from work having dropped ds at breakfast club at 8am and picked him up from wrap round care at 5pm (horrible shitty day) ready to have as quiet an evening as you can have with 3 ds's. Only to find that dh has invited dsd and her 2 kids over for tea but is going out himself.

I know that it's hardly the worst thing that has ever happened but........ AIBU

Can't you say you already have plans to go out, grab your bag quickly and walk out to the nearest pub? Grin Let him get on with dinner instead

YANBU, I agree with WOD, It's very rude to invite someone over and the leave them for you to entertain. He should cancel his plans.

Where is he going? Does the person who's coming (DSD-is this your step-daughter/his daughter) know he's going out and you didn't actually agree to or even know about this arrangement.

I'd phone him now and get him to ring and tell her you've got a cracking headache after a horrible day and dinner's off!

Ok, we got Chinese and I have calmed down a bit, but it's almost 9pm, they have just gone and I still have ds3 (4y) to put to bed. I told him I was really angry and I think he realises he should not have done it.

I think I need a Wine

I think that's presumptuous of him to assume you are willing to entertain guests without consulting with you and even more so if he planned to go out and leave you to do it alone. Definitely worth a word with him.
