To tie DP's mole off with a bit of cotton?

He's asked me to. It's a mole on his neck, nothing wrong with it (he has all his moles checked by the doctor) but he hates it as it's big and sticks out, it's not a flat mole, it sticks out like it's on a stalk.

Anybody else done it?

Why doesn't he just ask the GP to remove it? I have had a couple removed, they freeze them, painless and simple.

I'm sure it'd bleed like a mutha, don't fuck with moles. It's skin tags you can do that too isn't it?

It will just grow back, I've knocked one on my arm a couple of times and it bleeds for ages, crusts over and comes back still sticking out.

No. He is getting mixed up, this is possible only with a skin tag....DEFINITELY NOT a mole. Moles should never be touched, unless by a professional.

Not a mole! He needs to get a Dr for that. His GP will probably do it, mine does.

Think infection and scarring! Let a GP decide what to do with it.

Ok thanks for advice. Anybody else had one done recently?

Do you think he would have to go to hospital to have it removed? Would he have to have local anaesthetic and would he need proper stitches or would butterfly ones do?

I've had one removed years ago but it was a terrible, terrible experience involving a lot of flesh being removed and ten stitches and no way would he be up for that. If it was a case of nipping it off at the skin and a stitch or two, then he'd go for that.

I've done it. It really hurts and it's difficult to remove the thread once you have started.
