... could at least wish me a happy birthday?

I know its not really a biggie but before we had dc we'd buy each other presents then when we had dc she stopped, her reason being we buy for each others dc so after acouple of years i stopped buying for her and just gave a card and wished her a happy bday. She knows its my birthday today as i told her in conversation yesterday but shes text me this morning with not so much a mention of my birthday.
Shes my bf of 7yrs, aibu?

Happy Birthday! Have a lovely lovely day, hope other people get you presents.

YANBU, she should have said Happy Birthday, but maybe she had a momentary blip and forgot? I've done that before and remembered halfway through the day and had to apologise profusely!

I have to confess that I'm a rubbish birthday rememberer (brain too full of rubbish) - but I'm great at little presents throughout the year! Arrange birthday drinks or something maybe instead? Dcs do mean that our birthdays get forgotten/overlooked a bit which isn't right after all we do, but it's a lovely excuse to do something treaty together instead of having to try to remember cards etc.
But no YANBU. Just remind her - and maybe try not to rub the guilt in as we have far too much mother guilt anyway....
Oh and happy birthday, have a lovely day!

We dont really do much together as she doesn't really like to do things without dp but i wont mention it to her, thankfully some people have remembered lol.

Thanks for your bday msgs :)

Happy Birthday, monsters. Grin

Perhaps your friend is a little embarrassed that she hadn't done anything for it and is planning something. Some people aren't organised about birthdays, which just seem to sneak up on them. I'm one of those 'birthday bandits'... Blush
