To think DH is going too far with the Foreign Exchange student?

We accepted a 15 year old Foreign Exchange pupil and when reading up on his personality it said he liked practical jokes and generally having fun. Just like DH so DH said he'd play a few on him once he'd got settled in. So he arrived on Saturday and thankfully DH left him alone to chill out, Sunday he started being a prat. First "joke" was the lad was in the bathroom and DH catapulted himself at the door and started screaming and shouting about needing to wee banging on the door and making growling noises etc. I went mad because there was a bang, the lad had obviously had a fright and dropped something and then wouldn't come out of the bathroom for ages. DH eventually (after he'd finished crying with laughter Hmm spoke through the door apologising but adding "that's how we ask for the toilet in England". FFS
I had a word with DH saying that was way ott and not to do anything else as he's spoiling the lads trip. So this morning he filled a bag FULL of plain bread slices, poured a bit of hot chocolate in it and then stood on it and squashed it up etc and gave it to the lad telling him it was his packed lunch for the day and that was how we did packed lunches in England. The lad was mortified but took it anyway, when I realised I shouted after him and gave him money for the shop. Tonight he's planning to scream manically at the TV everytime the adverts come on. I've told him if he does I will seriously be pissed off and he says he's just trying to have a laugh. The lad is spending all of his time locked away in the bedroom obviously wishing he hadn't bothered with the exchange. I feel so sorry for him and cross at DH.

I hope the lad tells his school and his family when he gets home how terrible his stay was and makes a complaint against your DH.

This is an absolutely horrendous way to treat somebody.

But hang on, this is a bit too much like the DP who was screaming through the letterbox at the postman/paperboy the other day. Have a Biscuit

saffy85 · 23/05/2011 20:56

Agree with AF.

Seriously what the fuck did you marry?!

purplepidjin · 23/05/2011 20:56

Ditto. What a cunt!

ILoveYouToo · 23/05/2011 20:57

Fucking hell! Shock Hmm

Your DH is an absolute dickhead.

thisisyesterday · 23/05/2011 20:57

your husband sounds utterly vile

what a nasty, nasty way to treat someone.

those are not jokes at all, they are him frightening and bullying a child.

can you even begin to imagine what you would think if your own child told you that their exchange family had done that?

WhoAteMySnickers · 23/05/2011 20:57

How old is your DH? 12?

Twat.

AnyFucker · 23/05/2011 20:58

OP is taking a long time to namechange to a socky one isn't he ?

come on, too slow

bring out the puppets

squeakytoy · 23/05/2011 20:58

Have you told him, they are not practical jokes, but the actions of a fucking prick.

MainlyMaynie · 23/05/2011 21:00

Are you the same person who posted about their DH screaming through the letterbox? Seems a bit of a coincidence. If this is true, your DH is a bullying twat.

PaperView · 23/05/2011 21:00

You DH sounds like a twat.

They aren't practical jokes either.

shineoncrazydiam0nd · 23/05/2011 21:00

yawn.

this old nonsense again

CareyFakes · 23/05/2011 21:04

Oh no, I laughed Blush

Terrible behaviour though, your H does sound like a fucking tool

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 23/05/2011 21:05

Who is missing from this wonderous tale? Why it is the son who is actually hosting the foreign exchange student.

Better luck next time OP.

Pictish · 23/05/2011 21:27

Oh you poor thing OP...you must want to murder your idiotic husband!!

Pictish · 23/05/2011 21:29
