yes i have pinched idea from other threads but thought others might like to get off their chest the little things that annoy them. can be as irrational as you like this thread could be therapeutic :o

some of mine are ...

men (not seen a woman do it) when reversing use the palm of their hand to steer the wheel

drivers who sit far back and right down in their seats with their arms stretched right out

i have many more

Babies. My one. Keep your cotton picking little mits off my stuff.

Psammead · 23/05/2011 12:27

Stompers, sniffers, throat clearers, mouth breathers, clickers, tappers, whistlers, hummers, loud sneezers..

Well, you get the idea.

LadyThumb · 23/05/2011 12:29

My neighbour who insists on riddling his fire and shovelling coal outside at 5.30 a.m. for 8 months of year and waking us all up!

And also for being unreasonable in that a polite request not to do so was met with anger and he carries on regardless.

Reverse sexism

I watched outnumbered (first episode) at the weekend. the mum kept pulling her family up on sexism, seeing women as objects etc but then she would use it to her family. (well actually it was rather funny).

MrSpoc · 23/05/2011 12:30

sorry she would use it to her advantage.

grovel · 23/05/2011 12:30

Marmite shortages
Ramblers
Mormons
Liberal Democrats
Arsenal Football Club
People with sticking out belly buttons
Crows

MamaLazarou · 23/05/2011 12:32

Words merging into one another to make a stupid-looking new word: i.e; 'straightaway'.

fedupofnamechanging · 23/05/2011 12:32

People who cough and splutter in food shops.

Psammead · 23/05/2011 12:32

Ramblers as in people who go on and on and on without making a point?

Or ramblers as in people who walk on and on and on without a point?

grovel · 23/05/2011 12:34

Ramblers in sensible walking clothes with maps in silly plastic covers round their necks.

TandB · 23/05/2011 12:34

Manic button pushers. You know the kind. At pedestrian crossings or in lifts they think it will make things happen faster if they push the button about a million times. They always have a strange fixed middle-distance stare while they are doing it, as though they have gone into some sort of button-induced trance.

It actually makes me want to shake them. Don't know why it annoys me so much.

I did once say something though - I got into a lift with a woman who kept pressing every floor and then tutting when it stopped and no-one got in. After about 4 floors I did say "you do know that it is stopping because you keep pressing all the buttons". She said that wasn't how it worked and looked at me as if I was mad.

Random apostrophes' and unfinished sentenc.

jaggythistle · 23/05/2011 12:39

the person at work who not only licks, but slurps their yoghurt lid vigorously, with tongue out.

then gets every milligram off by scraping the carton for about 5 minutes with further slobbering of the spoon.

I have to avert my eyes, but wish i could avert my ears too. :(

ToffeePenny · 23/05/2011 12:43

People who sit in the seat for people who need a seat (pregnant, disabled etc) and then pretend not to notice when someone who obviously needs it gets on.

Obv some people have hidden disabilities so you have to give the benefit of the doubt but on every tube I take? every day? both 'priority' seats? really? Hmm

(secretly proud of being able to do that one-hand-on-the-steering-wheel turn)Grin

I HATE the way some papers seem obsessed with shortening peoples names... A Rod, SamCam, Su-Bo!! Arrrgghhh!! Are they trying to be all gangsta or something... I blame J-Lo!!

On the theme of walkers... The people that walk around my local loch with proper boots and backpacks... Its fucking 2.5 miles and FLAT!!! Its not exactly a hike you knobbers!

The knobs with modern diesel cars who drive up the mulitstorey car park at about 2 mph... I have a 1L Petrol 13 year old car... It cant do 2mph up an incline, it'll stall. Theres nothing to go slow for... No pedestrians, no cars going opposite ways, no spaces to look for as the inclines are just between parking levels... KNOBS!! :o

My DH when he puts the cutlery away. I mean, I appreciate it and all that BUT........he just gathers it all together and chucks it in the drawer. Why oh why can he not understand that I (and most of the world) have seperate compartements for each......is it too much for his delicate brain to comprehend !Shock

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 23/05/2011 12:47
