to HATE themed parties????

Friend's birthday soon and the theme is Black OR White. Her DH has asked (it's a surprise do for her) that guests wear only black or only white. If I go, I will have to go out and get something for me and DH and DS to wear! none of us have any decent black or white stuff to wear and definitely do not have spare money to go on a clothes shopping spree!

can't see the point in a black/white party. I don't mind a 70s flower-power hippie, 60s or something like that ztheme. If it is too diff I just wouldn't bother

i love themed parties.

I would say it's easier to do black than white.

Eh? Nothing wrong with a themed party- 80's, 60's, super heros or whatever but black/white party? What's the plan exactly, are you all going to lie on the floor together at some point and pretend to be one big chessboard?
