thats it really, Madonna did it all yonks ago.....
her music is...... well madonna/kylie. what is it that I am missing?

Yanbu. Some of her songs have been ok in a poptastic way. But the dressing up and acting weird schtick has been done before.

I like the music, but without the gimmickry she would never have got so much publicity and be wear she is. So in my view, like it or loathe it, it is clever marketing.

I never really 'got' Madonna tbh. Lady GaGa does whatever it is better. Apart from the meat dress, which was nothing but disgusting.

I quite like the videos and clothes as well - apart from the meat dress, that was disgusting (I'm vegetarian).

Maybe the meat dress was to challenge perception ie people will happily wear Dead Animal Leather or Dead Animal Fur why not go the whole hog (haha hog geddit) and wear the rest of the Dead Animal.
Or maybe she likes to smell like rancid,lardy pork productsGrin

She was performing on American Idol earlier. She had forgotten to put any clothes on over her underwear. It was the only bit of the show I took any notice of. Grin

I enjoyed it. Therefore YABU.

Her songs are quite catchy and once I heard one, it sticks in my head all day and starts to annoy me... so she certainly can write a tune that sells. If money's what she wants then fair play to her, she's got what she wanted. But her dress sense is just Hmm Very attention seeking. And gauche.
