Facebook Helps or Hinders ?

Just an 'out orf interest' thread obviously Facebook is a worldwide phenomenon and is wondering are you happier its here or were you happier without.

9/10 police calls are in some way reralted to fb I got told that by a policeman was quite shocked but obviously has advantages, keeping in contact.

then the whole information scandal. and I see it alot on here aswell

Helps: I use it for work. I have a page which I can use to advertise upcomming events and signing up deadlines and what not.

The thing I love about it is that no longer do our email inboxes get filled by one email with 3 massive photos attached. I know that there are other ways to display photos, but FB is v easy. If people want to see them they can, otherwise, ignore them.

I've blocked a lot of applications though - vampires, pirates that kind of thing. Love scrabble though!

Facebook is absolutely fine if you don't add any old random and just have people as friends that you actually like and want to interact with

You have vampires applying to be friends, redexpat? (Note to self to get more interesting set of friends)

fb is a bit like alchohol used wisely can be great but can be a gateway to regret and lack of inhibitions

and the 9/10 thing might be wrong like I said got told by a bobby don't shoot the messenger.
