I try not to watch Jeremy Kyle

but I just watched the end bit of an 'am I the dad/DNA' thing to see Jeremy Kyle trying to convince a young woman that she should let her violent drug taking alcoholic ex see their son. This is despite the fact tat the woman in question has had an injunction against her ex for the last year or more because of his violence.

AIBU to think it's totally irrisponsible of JK and the JK producers to harrass a vunerable woman into letting her child have contact with him?

He has attended anger management classes and passed a drugs test, JK would normally recommend a controlled environment so supervised access. (From what I gathered)

spanky2 · 12/05/2011 09:53

Yes it is. I hate it when JK does that. They always make a big deal about their 'after care', but I think it isn't really enough to sort out the more serious problems. I prefer the ones when they find out they are the Dad and they are pleased. How could you not know who the Dad is? Don't people read books anymore?

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 12/05/2011 09:54

YANBU. They'll probably just send them on their way (maybe some 'aftercare' first) and leave the poor woman to take the fallout.
But then, again, he only bit her face.Hmm

We are both U for watching though!

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 12/05/2011 09:55

random , in there.
Too much JK affecting my grammar.

You've missed a few things out there if it's this mornings one
The guy tested negative for drugs, has had anger management, done probation and it seems to be implied that they'd arrange a contact centre

Car crash telly whilst doing the ironing- that my excuse for watching

I do wish some folk would put as much effort into contraception or the consequences of being a parent as they do fighting over who said what and when on FB, in the street, at a party...

DuelingFanjo · 12/05/2011 09:57

see, I can understand that people can chang but JK was really pressuring her. 'Good' tv I suppose.

The welsh girls are fabulous car crash tv though!!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 12/05/2011 09:59

Good god, JK sounds horrendous.....thank goodness I go to work Grin

Hammy02 · 12/05/2011 09:59

99% of the people on there are a waste of air. They certainly shouldn't be inflicting their sorry lives on others by having children.

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 12/05/2011 10:09

Icelolly, i reckon they're having a prctice run before they go for Jerry Springer.
Did you see the DNA dance the dark haired one did?

DuelingFanjo · 12/05/2011 10:11

Betty, I am on maternity leave. Grin but still, I shouldn't be watching.

Icelollycraving · 12/05/2011 10:11

Not as good as them comparing tightness 'I've had compliments!' lol

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 12/05/2011 10:12

*I.

Dodgy keyboard. Honest. Wink

NoCarbsBeforeMarbs · 12/05/2011 10:14

Haha!
I did an actual LOL at that.

That's one for her CV.

AppleyEverAfter · 12/05/2011 10:14

I had to switch over because his face tattoo was offending my eyes, so didn't see the DNA result. They only go on there for a free test so she'll probably never hear from him again.

I do shift work. But no, I still shouldn't be watching. Bad girl.

LordOfTheFlies · 13/05/2011 13:22

Its the "you're the dad,she didn't cheat on you"
She could've shagged a football team but only one wins the egg-and-sperm-race Jeremey ,you pillock!

Flisspaps · 13/05/2011 13:35
