They use the music from The Littlest Hobo. That program used to really upset me as a kid. That poor little dog. Why didn't it find somewhere to live and be happy.

Bloody ad makes me sad

It makes me smile and sing and be happy.

The Littlest Hobo used to help people and then move onto the next person who needed his help; bit like Lassie .

The thing that does annoy me though is using the Dulux dog instead of the Littlest Hobo; only the Littlest Hobo should run along to that music

As a child I didn't understand the bit about him going on to help the next person I just thought nobody wanted him

Agree Vintage, the music does not work with any old dog, it can only be the Littlest Hobo.

The ad annoys me for that reason. Oh god I think I need to get a life.

I worked with a guy who knew all the words to the theme song. He used to sing it to me when we were bored in the office.

I liked that.

I miss it.

The words "maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down....." imply that it was the Littlest Hobo's own choice not to settle down so I wouldn't worry too much brokenbanana .

Broken - don't be upset - at the end of every episode there was a family who wanted to keep him, but he just up and left.
