Youngest dd has a nasty case of the v+d bug culminating tonight with a rather unpleasant "trail" beng left from bedroom to bathroom. asked DP to fetch the torch so I could check the bedroom floor ( while cleaning up dd and scraping nasties off bathroom floor). His reply was "you need to put the light on for that!" There are 2 other dc's asleep in there and scraping poo off the floor and pj's is not the nicest thing to be doing at midnight. AIBU to feel a little pissed off that, that was the sole extent of his "help"???

Nope yanbu, I would hand him a Bowl in the morning and say "you'll have some sickbin that " and go back to bed

Just wait till he gets it..I will have my revenge mwahaha

When our daughter was ill one would clean her up and the other strip the bed if it was needed or clean up floors etc

Well I do think YWBU to let him get away with it at the time tbh! If my DH had done that then words would have been said straight away! They only say things like that because they know that they can get away with it, I am assuming that you just sighed and did the cleaning on your own without insisting he help so its kind of your own fault!

Thats not to say that I dont think he is a lazy selfish git, cos clearly he is, but unless you kick up a stink then he has no reason to make an effort has he?

Having said that dh and I take it in turns to be 'on call' for the boys if they wake at night. The other wouldn't get up to help unless asked to. However since you did ask for help YANBU he is.
