Inspired by another thread...,.

When you have sat down on a Friday night, the children are in bed and you have your favourite tv programmes to catch up on - what would you most like to eat and accompanied with what food?

Tudors - wine and hummous/ pittabread
TrueBlood - wine and strawberries (very ripe)
X-factor - Doritoes Chilli Heatwave, wine and wholenut choc.

hairfullofsnakes · 06/05/2011 13:48

I don't watch much telly, but on normal Fridays I go through from the One Show to Graham Norton all washed down with either beer or red wine and copious fags. The cigs mean I miss around four minutes of every programme because I have to go outside to do it.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 06/05/2011 13:54

Waterloo Road - Sainsbury's 2 for 4 thin pizzas
Jonathan Creek - Fishfinger sandwiches
Judging Amy - Chicken Caesar Salad
Leverage - nothing... it's too exciting! Blush
Dirty Sexy Money - nothing, too busy drooling over Donald Sutherland Grin

I watch more dvds than tv, I think.

springbokdoc · 06/05/2011 13:56

Ooh is game of thrones good? The adverts almost make me want to switch to sky as I have an unhealthy obsession with sean bean

Glee - wine, steak and salad
true blood - strawberry milkshake
Greys anatomy - wine, stew with creamy mash
any documentary - just wine so I can get all ranty

bucaneve · 06/05/2011 14:15

Dr Who. - Nothing, too exciting, but then Indian takeaway after as we discuss the plot twists

Glee - cup of tea and some M&M/minstrals

StanHouseMuir · 06/05/2011 15:14

Top Gear - Stella and a 500g bar of chocolate
Formula 1 - Stella and a 500g bar of chocolate
HIGNFY - Stella and a 500g bar of chocolate
MtW - Stella and a bag of Doritos

A man of simple tastes.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 06/05/2011 15:16

Sherlock: very specific, this one. Cheap white-bread cheese-topped rolls, crisps, tea, chocolate cupcake. NB this is to be watched and consumed on DVD on laptop, in bed, in oldest comfiest slobwear.

All the rest are sofa jobs:
Six Feet Under/Dirty Sexy Money: Thai takeaway.
Glee: pasta with pesto, olives and anchovies. And garlic bread.
The Tudors (RIP): curry, home-made but out of freezer.
Black Books: popcorn and Maltesers.
Wimbledon (the tennis not the shite film) although the film is worth a look to perv over Paul Bettany ice cream, crisps, ginger beer.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 06/05/2011 15:16

PS Envy at those who get Game of Thrones. Is it good? I only get terrestrial.

pingu2209 · 06/05/2011 16:57

Modern Family with wine and salted nuts

SisterCarrie · 06/05/2011 17:21

Wall-to-wall Corrie and a VERY hot Thai curry with sticky rice and spicy prawn crackers. Washed down with an incredibly crisp Sauv B.

swiperstopswiping · 06/05/2011 17:28

Tonight we are having chip shop fish and chips and a CSI miami fest.

X factor goes best with either dominos pizza or chinese (chinese is better if I have a hangover)

Plus copious amounts of white wine.

I think I may be married to stanhousemuir btw! Grin

hazeyjane · 06/05/2011 17:34

Band of Brothers and 30 Rock

Pizza
Wine
Chocolate

Becaroooo · 06/05/2011 17:44

yy to BOB and 30 rock!!! I have 3 series on catch up atm!

I eat chocolate and chips mostly

WannabeNigella · 06/05/2011 18:15

XFactor/Saturday Night Takeaway/BGT has to be eaten with wine and takeaway pizza.

If it's final night of X or BGT that would also warrant nibbles and dips and some homemade profiteroles for pud.

Masterchef - Fillet Steak, Salad and a hunk of French stick.

Mistresses/Desperate Housewives/Ugly Betty will all require tortillas or crisps.

hairfullofsnakes · 06/05/2011 19:47

Game of thrones is so good! I've just ordered the books

Who watches The Walking Dead? One of the best things on tv at the
moment

Oooooo and The Event!

LetThereBeRock · 06/05/2011 20:31

May I have dvds rather than tv programmes?

I'll have some French films, preferably starring Daniel Auteuil, perhaps a selection from Apres Vous,MR 73.Widow of St Pierre,Un Coeur en Hiver and Romuald et Juliette.

I'll have some sushi, and creme brulee,or a Chinese takeaway, perhaps Kung pao king prawns, crispy duck or salt and pepper squid.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 07/05/2011 10:21

Oh, I forgot Strictly Come Dancing. That's a Thai takeaway as well, but with more food (loads of starters and lobster crackers etc), and crisps and chocolate afterwards.
