Or moved to the top shelf in newsagents? I noticed it is starting up again after going bust last month.

After going bust

KatieScarlett2833 · 04/05/2011 17:51

People who buy the Sunday Sport should be banned. From everything.

saffy85 · 04/05/2011 17:53

It shouldn't be banned imo, but it should be displayed fairly high up. It is in many shops around where I live but not all.

FabbyChic · 04/05/2011 17:53

Do they show any more than you would see on a beach on holiday? I doubt it.

Some are just prudes.

AgentZigzag · 04/05/2011 17:53

But what about freedom of speech?

I don't want to live in a state that bans newspapers.

What about the important public service it provides?

RobF · 04/05/2011 17:54

The Sunday Sport seems to get criticism from all sides. It's got knockers everywhere.

Hehe Grin

LindsayWagner · 04/05/2011 17:57

It's not about seeing breasts or arses fabbychic. It's about the way they're posed and the messages it gives girls and boys about what women are for.

Nanny0gg · 04/05/2011 17:57

In an ideal world.

I can only hope.

LindsayWagner · 04/05/2011 19:53

zukiecat, see my previous post. Do you not think there's a difference between someone being topless in the sunshine, and someone being topless and then being positioned so readers can, in fantasy, take her up the arse? FGS.
Do you want your children - daughters and sons - thinking that women's sexuality is a commodity?

LindsayWagner · 04/05/2011 19:53

I don't mind different opinions, but I'd like them to be, you know, thought through.

squeakytoy · 04/05/2011 19:54

For some women, their sexuality IS their commodity.

kw1986 · 04/05/2011 20:05

Why is it always about "the children"?

YABU No it shouldn't be banned. Should we then ban the sun because of page 3? The Daily Mail for spouting a load of crap?

Its just a paper (I read it once when I found a copy on the bus, couldnt understand why it was called the daily sport as there was very little sport in it! lol)

AgentZigzag · 04/05/2011 20:06

'The Sunday Sport seems to get criticism from all sides. It's got knockers everywhere.'

And I thought you'd started a serious thread OP Grin

So long as the women haven't been coerced into the work, it's a simple supply and demand financial transaction lindsay.

FriedSpamButty · 04/05/2011 20:09

I 'read' this publication just once or twice out of morbid curiousity after a copy was left in the smoking room at work some years ago.

Whilst I could kind of ignore the topless pics and ads for sex phone lines I could not get over the really salacious and voyeuristic reporting of court hearings regarding rapes and other sex crimes. That really horrified me. Horrific details of what victims had endured were being reported - as far as I could see - for the titillation of the readers. And that is really sick.

HalfPastWine · 04/05/2011 20:14

It shouldn't be placed with the other newspapers because it isn't a newspaper. If should be placed on the top shelf and covered with a brown paper bag.

I can't believe it has been set up again. They've got some front

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 04/05/2011 20:29

oh the sunday sport. i found a copy once. It was something else, I tell you! I was only a young 'un. It was an education! I still remember the story in it about a woman who turned to stone. Actual stone. (not the medical condition that means you can't bend) [boggle]

'News'paper, though.
Soft porn. And if people want it, that's their choice. But it should be placed with the other soft porn.

RobF · 04/05/2011 20:37

I always liked the agony aunt pages. I never realised there were so many bored housewives or 19 year old students intent on seducing white van men.

OP posts:
Mamaz0n · 04/05/2011 20:39

It was where i first realised that when my daughter grows up it is my job as MIL to seduce her boyfriends.

HalfPastWine · 04/05/2011 20:42

Don't they all take it up the arse whilst wearing school uniforms.

Just what you want to look at over your morning coffee.
