Celebrating a teacher's birthday...

So the class rep and a few mums stayed behind after a school event and went in to the classroom to surprise the class teacher with a cake and some cards that the children had made/signed for her birthday. (Infant school)

News through the school grapevine is that the parents are in the bad books for staying behind and making a fuss of a good teacher on her birthday ..

Really unreasonable??

Whose bad books?
It's happened a few times at my school in one form or another with small acts of appreciation. Not enough to be considered major bribes. Grin

Class of children spending an entire day making a fuss of teacher = U

Couple of Mum's organising a group event = NU

Are the grumpy sods ones upset because they didn't get an invite?

We broke protocol Confused . The strange thing is that every Friday they have an assembly with a part where pupils who have had birthdays that week go up in front of the school for a sticker and song??

Perhaps she was on a promise and just wanted to get off home to her RL?
