Little speech oddities

Rich people tend to say " we are not rich just COMFORTABLE"

( I cant speak for HMQ....but Cameron is probably comfortable.)

Head teachers say on the radio talking of discipline. "There will be consequences" They all seem to phrase it that way.

Footie players have been coached for TV " its a team game" (even if they score 4 goals.)

Have you noticed any more of these stock phrases?

"Sick as a parrot" "At the end of the day" "It's a game of two halves" Football has a lot of its own.

The Daily mail readers and Tories favourite phrase seems to be sense of entitlement

"This too will pass" is a rather profound saying from a well known lady broadcaster

"Its a fair cop. gov" coppers quote from criminal

"it's a big ask" really gets on my tits.

"I'll touch base with you" and several other corporate stock phrases really get on my nerves

If that had gone in, it would have been a goal!

"I could give her half of one" Old mans saying.

"run that past me again"

"they have no work ethic"

" even the dead should be POSITIVE" .......she was joking.

"Know what I mean" Big Frank and many others

"you are a long time dead"

'Get a grip', 'grow a pair', 'don't let the door hit you on the way out', 'why have you posted this in AIBU?', 'what's the point to your OP?', 'how old are you OP?', 'can't you spell and punctuate OP?', 'yous lot are a load of bitches'...
