To want to eat these chocolates?

Postie delivered a package today which turned out to be two parcels bundled together with an elastic band. The top one was for me but the one underneath is for someone in an entirely different street. It says on the outside "The Chocolate Tasting Club" and is just the right size to be a large box of chocolates.

The box is sitting by my front door and I promise I will drop it round to the correct house tomorrow but I bet they are delicious chocolates. So tempting as no-one would ever know where the parcel had gone!

You know you can't.
Once, when I had a delivery of flowers for my neighbour, I displayed them in my house and pretended they were mine until she came to collect themBlush

SmilingAssassin · 03/05/2011 20:03

I'm evil, so.......do it!

maGicGift · 03/05/2011 20:04

Oooh it sounds like a box of Hotel Chocolat, YANBU to eat them all in one go just for the hell of it mwahhahaha, Hotel Chocolat are amazing!

TurkeyBurgerThing · 03/05/2011 20:23

They'll phone to complain they never recieved -it. Just eat them! They'll be sent more.

Don't do it! Totally dishonest. And illegal.

DontGoCurly · 03/05/2011 20:24

eat them no one will ever know and they will get more sent.

Sassyfrassy · 03/05/2011 20:34

The tasting club chocolates are amazing! Absolutely delicious. I used to get them before I became allergic to nuts =(
If they don't arrive and the recipient calls to complain she will be sent a new box with no charge. They have super customer service. When I got mine with one of the chocolates squashed a couple of times, they always sent a brand new replacement box, resulting in me getting two boxes for the price of one!

susall · 03/05/2011 20:35

They are full of alcohol so post them through the right door, they aint that nice honestly. I have bought them before and they cost about £18, first box is £7, and are so not worth it even at the lower price.

OryxCrake · 03/05/2011 20:36

Yep - they're Hotel Chocolat. Gorgeous, my favourite chocolate ever!

maGicGift · 03/05/2011 20:40

My DP bought me a Hotel Chocolat Ostrich egg for easter.... I love him forever!

squeakytoy · 03/05/2011 20:42

I think you need to open them, to check they didnt melt in the sun Wink

Paschaelina · 03/05/2011 20:43

Totally worth it if they are free though, susall. I'm afraid I too would scoff the lot. Blush

MummyDoIt · 03/05/2011 21:12

Oh, you shouldn't have told me they are Hotel Chocolat! I got some of those for Christmas and they were gorgeous.

I did run down the drive after Postie as soon as I realised that he'd left me two parcels but he'd driven off. Does that count as making enough of an effort to do the right thing?

I can give or take chocolate, but if it had been a wrong delivery of cheese I'd have eaten it before I could even think about whether it was wrong or not.

Running down the drive counts as trying.
