switch to tampons.

fairy hammocks?? no. never .not in a million years all very victorian, disposable everytime for me.

pop them in the mashine? ewww no thankyou, anyway wouldn't you have to use antibacterial washing powder or a very high temp wash?

realise i will get a flaming for this but in all honesty i don't care,

I find a Mooncup way easier than disposable because it doesn't leak and (frankly) holds much more than tampons/pads.

I adore my Mooncup, wish I'd known about it sooner.

Bluemoonrising · 03/05/2011 13:54

I'm like Sybil, I love my mooncup. Wish I'd had it years ago!

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 03/05/2011 13:56

I use reuseable pads.

Don't like the idea of a sinkplunger mooncup and the disposable ones - either tampons or pads - make me ill.

Cleaning them doesn't bother me. It's only blood. I'm not grossed out by it because it came from my uterus.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 03/05/2011 14:00

Mooncup here. I could never wear anything called fairy hammocks ffs, how old are we? 6?

I rather like mooncups and it certainly puts you at one with your own fluids which is strange at first but I embrace it now :)

gkys · 03/05/2011 14:03

totaly agree with you, its just blood, but wouldn't put a bloodied bandage/ dressing in the washing machine, so not about to start washing sanitary products

steamedtreaclesponge · 03/05/2011 14:03

Mooncup, definitely. So much easier/cheaper than pads, and much better for you too.

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 03/05/2011 14:03

No, I handwash mine. Washing machine not the best thing. You need to cold wash them first or they stain.

I've been reading other thread. I too can't bring myself to mooncup. PMSL @ hecs sinkpunger Grin

I want to use some san pro pads. Do they absorb right through? So what the risk of leaking? I have looked at links but cannot get my head around which ones are best.

Someone please just tell me!!
