I went to park, the supermarket and the cafe inside for lunch this morning with my boys who are nearly 2 and 3.4. I am shattered as am 20 weeks pregnant and couldn't sleep last night due restless legs. I planned to drive a bit extra on the home to get both ds to sleep ds2 was asleep as i pulled out of the car park but ds1 told me i was going the wrong way home - I told him the traffic was bad and I was going a different way to avoid it - 5 mins late he asleep - 10 mins late I am home - lifted both out of car on sofas and now have an hours peace. Feel a bit guilty for ds1 as he wanted to do stamping with the -rubbish- thomas stamps he got free with a comic - I will do it when he wakes up though.

If he didn't need it he wouldn't have fallen asleep ;-)

Oh you sound very very wicked and your poor DS will be scarred for life Shock

Wink :o

Of course YANBU you narna!

Knofje · 03/05/2011 13:28

YANBU, I did the exactly same with my DC yesterday (same ages, but I'm not pregnant).

DD (oldest) was a nightmare at bedtime, not tired enough. Probably worth keeping his nap to 45mins, or 1 1/2 hours max if you're desperate.

drivinmecrazy · 03/05/2011 13:30

I frequently changed the clocks in the house to get DD1 to bed an hour earlier when I was tired. Unfortunately didn't work with DD2 as DD1 is a blabber mouth

Don't let the Thomas ink pad out of your sight! The amount of ink it can hold is phenomenal!!

SmethwickBelle · 03/05/2011 13:31

I hope you're not still here reading the replies - get yourself to sleep whilst you can! Not remotely unreasonable.

Knofje · 03/05/2011 13:33

My oldest can't tell the time yet, an hour earlier to bed on the odd night works a treat. They tend not to wake any earlier the next day either.

DD was an hour late to sleep last night and an hour early up this morning after her nap yesterday. Is now knackered and whiney. It was worth it though Grin
