AIBU to hate the Rice Krispie advert?

Do they really think it will encourage people to buy the things?
A) I hate so-called 'real-life' adverts with ghastly children with their ghastly parents 'acting' badly and
B) The rice krispie cakes they made look absolutely vile.

I noticed the girl didn't tie her hair back

That's so weird - I was thinking the same thing the other day when it was on. There's no way you would eat them either.

Ooh yes, it is DREADFUL. Peddling sugary crap and suggesting that adding more sugary crap to it will make you ahve a lovely perfect family life. Nasty and insidious. Nasty.

It's not all that sugary compared to others...and rice krispies treats are food of the gods! :) Don't know which advert though.

Of course it works, now when we go to asda my kids say "Mama, we have to buy rice krispies 'cos they make cakes with funny faces that are for not breakfast time" and so as I am such a smug lovely mother......I pick the own brand version

Its like the coco pops adverts, they cant use the characters aimed at kids any more so have to go a roundabout route

But those cakes they make are truly disgusting!
And am I BU to think their mother shouldn't tell them they're beautiful (the cakes) when they're clearly not?

It would not be possible to make the cakes beautiful, given the ingredients.
I am still a bit cross about this, but as I am NOT the target audience, and as I was never going to buy Rice Crappsies anyway, I don't suppost Kelloggs care what I think

...and don't get me started on the Jammie Dodgers advert. That is creepy as well as peddling crap and showing a grown up person deciding whether to buy it. Creepy biscuit monkeys WTF?

I have no idea what the advertising agency were trying to achieve with that one - horrible

Oh god yes the monkeys, I have always hated monkeys and this advert gives me nighmares.
