We were out at the park today when my eldest DC needed the bathroom. The park has some public toilets which we used.
DC1 asked me to accompany him to the toilet, as he has some medical needs which can make toilet trips difficult, but fairly urgent. DS was in the toilet for quite a while and had created somewhat of a smell. Now it wasn't a massive bathroom (they had three toilets) so a queue had formed and obviously realised where the smell had come from.
As we were exiting the bathroom, there was a particularly vocal mother who was quite loudly stating how the smell was disgusting and that some people shouldn't be allowed to use public toilets (whilst staring at DS and I) - she then told her DD to not use the toilet we had used as it was foul. DS was in pain at this point (due to medical issues) so I ignored her and we left quickly.
But IABU to think she was a rude bitch? Public toilets are generally not wonderful, so I am not sure what her point was?
And yes I know this is a very trivial thread, and I really should just get over it but I can't help but feel fiercely protective of DS, especially when this is something he cannot control.
