In November last year we sadly lost my Grandma to cancer, i grew up living with her and she was a huge part of mine and the whole families lives. During the time she was ill she received fantastic care and support from st nicholas hospice and us as a family have been cared for by them since, Bereavement councilling for the adults and an amazing course called nickys way for our younger ones. My grandma also took part in a trial of medication and radiotherapy treatments to see how it affected the tumours as she said, ''if no one tried chemo first i wouldnt have even be here'' Chemo gave us a wonderful 7mnths after being predicted mere weeks. We are all so proud of how brave and selfless she was as the effects of the trial was what eventually made her too weak to continue any treatment at all. In memory of her and as a thanks to all the wonderful people who deal with cancer care. All the children in the family ranging from 2-10 and there fat unfit supportive parents will be doing the little legs for life walk to raise money for cancer research and Macmillan, we are aiming for 2.5miles. She wouldn't have a grave or any fuss so we do this for her, to help us heal and to attempt to cure this cruel illness who takes so many loved ones, So to anyone who can spare even pence id be very grateful.
