To be really fucked off with snapfish?

I've just spend all week uploading 5 years worth of photo albums onto snapfish as decided I wanted tangible photos to put in albums rather than just keep them on my computer. I have tried to order them (30 albums worth) but have been told by customer support (via webchat, they assistant didn't speak English well and couldn't understand what I was asking for about half an hour) that all the photos will be mixed together not seperated into their albums, arghhh! Has anyone tried to do this before?

Whenever I have used snapfish I have created my own album, choosing which photos I want to go where.

Oh right, did you order a photobook or just prints?

Could you not place the order for each album individually? Bit of a pain in the arse to go through the payment procedure 20 times but surely each order will then be shipped separately.

southeastastra · 27/04/2011 20:21

they are usually done in albums - are you sure?

igetmorelovefromthecat · 27/04/2011 20:22

I did this recently and got the last 5 years worth of photos for hardly any money at all, by using all the 50 free prints etc offers from the different companies, I think the whole lot cost less then a tenner and there were hundreds of photos. You can separate them however you like then too and they will be easier to organise.

Well I asked the assistant and she said if I order them individually I get no bulk discount and will have to pay p&p on each album

I find that with most photo processing places, they just mix them up (which I dont understand as surely they print in the order they are uploaded). The only exception I've found so far is Aldi photo processing, although they came in reverse order but thats much better than them being all jumbled together. I got an order from aldi a few months ago and they were doing 100 free prints, don't know if they still are. If you google you should find their photo processing website.

like hula - i've always done the albums myself picking which pictures go in which. I also use the 30 x 30 books to make digital scrapbook, which i design on my computer and upload a single photo which is actually a composite, so total control over the books content. Takes time though.

southeastastra - not sure, just going on what the assistant told me, have you used snapfish?

yes used it a few times, you can usually just order an album online
