To keep nibbling on my dc easter eggs

Just to give them a bit of a helping hand! My dc had a grand total of 6 eggs and bunnys each this year. My ds2 aged 3 does not need any help in eating them at all lol! However my ds1 aged 5 eats abit at a time to make it last and last. Its painful to watch imo! Infact he still has some of his christmas chocolate! Unbelievable but true! So I'm just giving him a bit of a helping hand every so often! Dh says its stealing as they are his and I should stop! So whats your verdict? I will stop if you think I should!

My dc's who are 5 and 2 have had several....they are stashed away in a klip loc box........they might get a few titbits if I'm feeling like a nice mummy Grin - DH has already produced the chocolate buttons one this evening and I can't see much of it left now [naughty mean parents emoticon]

I keep stealing helping myself to my kids,

In my defence though they will open one, eat a bit then forget about it and open another one next time they are allowed. So im preventing waste

Paschaelina · 26/04/2011 20:53

I'm sitting here with half a milky way egg open on my lap so I can't really say YABU. Mind you, Boy is only 7 mo, how the hell is he expected to eat all that? Hmm

Broadwalkempire · 26/04/2011 20:54

PS I'm sure if you ask your parents this will just be history repeating itself Wink

DontCallMePeanut · 26/04/2011 20:54

My darling niece got 11 easter eggs and 8 easter "presents"... Hmm yes, this is the offspring of the DB and SIL mentioned in my thread Hmm

YANBU. You are selfless mother, putting your DC's health first. Grin

My parents always say I've always been chocolate mad and easter eggs never lasted long with me but my brother was always more like my ds1 with chocolate.

YANBU. My mum used to break them up and give us our chocolate in a bowl 'so we would not make a mess'. I have since discovered that she broke it up and gave us a quarter, eating the rest herself which is exactly what I now do

blindmelon · 26/04/2011 20:59

Haha - is it mean that I let DD eat the crappy tinkerbell easter egg but I've been steadily nibbling my way through the cadburys one all day? Grin

fastedwina · 26/04/2011 21:05

but why do they taste so much nicer than normal chocolate?

hotandhappy · 26/04/2011 22:07

i do the bowl thing Grin
