My husband has just brought some total strangers (well, to me anyway) around to "show them the garden". I am in my pyjamas. It is nearly 6.30 pm.

Err, surely it's believable that you're in your PJs for this evening? i.e. aren't you so organised and sensible for getting ready for bed this early?

DH brought someone home today with no warning and I was not wearing any make up. I had to run upstairs to put some on! Also I was wearing my slob out clothes - I always wear comfy bottoms at home. Also, I hadn't hoovered. How embarassing.
Why don't they just text first??

Ex DH bought some colleagues home unannounced once and I greeted them coming down the stairs doing my trousers up. They pretended they hadn't spotted it.
