Anyone got a garden day bed?

About to buy garden furniture.Keep on seeing those oval day beds.Look lovely but wondered how useful they are or do they just take up space and never get used?
Any mn's have one of these beds?

I have one with a canape that you can pull up or down.
We have it out by our pool.
It has room for 3/4 ppl lying on it but it gets really hot and sticky sunbathing next to someone else!!
Also ours is black ratten with plump white bed mattress and cushions and it gets really sticky with suntan lotion.
We hose it off to get rid of dust and cobwebs but the cushions can take a week of sunshine to dry so we only did it a couple of times last year.
We paid £1,700 for ours and to be fair for that price we could of had a beach holiday!
Having said that before we bought it guests used to say nice pool and now they say Wow fantastic pool!

Pimms and canapes anyone?
