I know this is Mums Net. My misses is pregnant and Im shibbing myself. I dont know why but Im ruddy scared shibless about the cost, about our stepson going to uni, about getting into a good school, about ruddy everything. Please be nice. Im new this kind of thing

Don't be sorry about being a chap - somebody has to be one.

It is natural to be scared about becoming a parent. It is a good thing as it makes you concentrate, or rather, think about what needs doing for the future. If you are worried about finances, you have time before the baby comes to change jobs/get a job/work overtime/sell assets etc

You stepson is old enough to start looking after himself if he is off to University.
