AIBU?
But I really do like those shoes

DD is 18 and has really odd shaped feet, and finds it difficult to buy shoes to fit. Mine aren't gorgeous either, and I walk A LOT. Yesterday I bought myself some new shoes...FLy London, not evrybody's taste, I know, but very very very comfortable.
Now I seldom buy new things for myself, but on the other hand, DD seldom asks for anythng for herself and she is very generous and thoughtful.
She loves the shoes and has been wearing them most of this evening. i have said...you have them, you like them..she has said, no no Mum, they are yours.
I really really want them and so does she.
So now what. She doesn't live at home most of the time, so no chance of sharing, and if I buy an identical pair for me, that just seems daft

Not at all daft to buy an identical pair. If it'd been a mate who'd seen your shoes and liked them and gone off to buy a pair herself would you have thought that was daft?
How about keeping yours and giving her the money to buy some herself? She might buy an identical pair (which would be fine imo) or see another style that she likes better.
