has a nice life?

I have but almost feel embarrassed by it. Please someone come on and say ''yes I have a good life, I'm happy''

And please don't say ''oh lucky you'' or something similar that would be mumsner predictability.

YABU as there are now 2 of you [bugrin]

worraliberty · 23/04/2011 18:14

I have a very good life, a lovely DH, 3 lovely healthy children, a wonderful MIL and a lovely ex MIL. I also have a sense of humour and don't get offended by ridiculous tiny things.

Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be here Grin

Newgolddream · 23/04/2011 18:16

Me to worral (well apart from the ex MIL), I sometimes think the fact that I get on with my MIL is unusual here within itself. [bugrin]

Honeybee79 · 23/04/2011 18:16

I am, on balance, very happy. There are def bad bits but overall life is good.

deemented · 23/04/2011 18:16

I have a good life.

It's had it's fair share of shiter moments, but i've three beautiful healthy kids, a manshape who i love the very bones of and who i know loves me, food in the fridge and a secure roof over my head.

Life is good.

LynetteScavo · 23/04/2011 18:16

Sometimes I think there is a competition for who has the worst life.

Also, I think a lot of people post when they are peed off with RL and need to vent.

My life is perfectly nice. Would be nicer if I could afford staff.

jojowest · 23/04/2011 18:17

i think to be honest your outlook on life dictates how happy/sad your life is and how you deal with it

so many people are all woe is me, and that in turn makes others avoid them, and so it goes on ....

BitOfFunnyBunny · 23/04/2011 18:17

I'm happy as a pig in shit, me.

lubeybooby · 23/04/2011 18:17

Mine is also brilliant! I have very minor niggles, but compared to the days of my crap marriage, crap job etc life is perfect now. I'm very happy :)

GilbonzoTheSecretPsychoDuck · 23/04/2011 18:18

I have a really good life with a lot of shit aspects. Does that count? I'm grateful for all the good bits and pleased I have the shit bits because they make me appreciate the good bits more. I also have a good sense of humour and it takes a lot to offend me............does this sound like a date site application???

Punkatheart · 23/04/2011 18:18

I have cancer but ultimately, I am a happy bunny. Good friends, writing as a profession, animals I adore.

So pig in poop too!

notinmypocket · 23/04/2011 18:18

Why would you think that? I have a very nice life and am n ot afraid to admit it Grin

It might seem like it as MNetters with more problematic lives would have more problematic things to post about, but I believe there is a good cross section on here.

I sometimes think though that I have been really lucky re. no bereavement, ill health etc. and it makes me grateful for what I have.

worraliberty · 23/04/2011 18:19

But sadly some people will never be truly happy because they let such ridiculous things offend/upset/bother them.

Really, some of the things people get worked up about never ceases to amaze me. I do honestly think some people need to get over themselves, lighten up and laugh a bit more often.

goodbyemrschips · 23/04/2011 18:21

Now this makes me feel better there are happy mumsnetters. I was beginning to wonder.

As for the pil I don't like them but is does'nt effect my life.

huffythethreadslayer · 23/04/2011 18:21

I'm happy. Have no issues, no real problems, a lovely dd, gorgeous dh and a great way of life. I could lose a few pounds (weight wise) but if I was unhappier about it, I'd be sorting it out. I like to count my blessings.

Punkatheart, sorry to hear you're poorly, and hope you have a swift recovery. They say a positive attitude can really help with illnesses like cancer. Certainly hope that's the case with you

ENormaSnob · 23/04/2011 18:22

I am happy.

Not 24/7 but on the whole.

WinterOfOurDiscountTents · 23/04/2011 18:23

No, all 300,00+ of us are miserable harpies with horrible lives. Hmm

goodbyemrschips · 23/04/2011 18:24

No, all 300,00+ of us are miserable harpies with horrible lives.

It is ok I have found half a dozen that are not moaning about some stupid prob.

Paschaelina · 23/04/2011 18:25

Mine's lovely thanks.

worraliberty · 23/04/2011 18:26

Mind you my happy outlook could we be helped along by the fact I don't care how other women feed their babies and I'm quite partial to a bit of porn Grin

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 23/04/2011 18:26

TBH I am a miserable cow at the moment but I have my reasons. I think I've had a pretty shitty hand dealt to me in my life so far. But right now I have a home, 5 gorgeous dc, a partner and we are all healthy. I am very happy and thankful for that.

I think most people have "off" days and then they come somewhere like MN to vent, much safer than RL venting IME Grin

NotShortImHotCrossBunSized · 23/04/2011 18:27

[grin} @Worra

squeakytoy · 23/04/2011 18:27

I have a happy settled life. No major worries, healthy, solvent, happily married, brilliant MIL. Hasnt always been that way, and we have had sadder times, but on the whole, life is good.
