To expect Virgin Media ...

to be able to fix the 'critical outage' that is apprently affecting the whole of plymouth before the 30th?!?!
After it went this morning we phoned up but there is apparently nothing they can do and they will 'aim' to get it fixed by the 30th. I appreciate its easter etc, it happened last year and it took days!
I have rage :(

YABVU to expect Virgin Media to do ANYTHING! From my experience they were beyond useless.
I hope you have told them you are not paying for the time the service is off (or a discount for disrupted service)

GwendolineMaryLacey · 23/04/2011 18:37

Lol was also going to say YABU to expect them to do anything! My broadband goes off a fortnight at a time every couple of months. Then it's ages before they come out to you. We've only just got our email addresses back after trying for about 5 years to sort it out. Really considering going over to BT.

albania · 23/04/2011 18:41

BT are awful too, I was considering switching to virgin media!
YANBU to expect it to be fixed in under a week, but I suppose that depends on what the problem is. Surely if the whole of Plymouth has their broadband off then they'll get something done about it asap?

jojowest · 23/04/2011 18:49

always had very very good service from VM

clayre · 23/04/2011 18:53

My virgin services go off every time it rains, every time, yet they deny there is a link!

pinkstinks · 23/04/2011 18:54

They were useless at the beginning, we are in a share house and the account holder has gone home for easter - eventually we persuaded the womn to just tell us what was going on!
She said it is everywhere in plymouth all "PL..." postcodes and there is no other information other than it should be sorted by the 30th...
Thats great my dissertation is due on the 27th....
So ive had to go the library and drag about 12 books with me!
it just couldnt have been at a worse time!
We mentioned about a discount, but we have already paid for the entire year up front to save the hassle of monthly payments between 7, so i imagine it will be very hard to claw back any money from them!

We got a credit when ours was out for about 15 hours.

I would at least ask for one.

Tee2072 · 23/04/2011 19:16

Also, if you go here you can get a status based on your postcode.

houseworkwhore · 23/04/2011 19:47

virgin media are shite.

that is all
