I'm sure you can be a chav if you put your mind to it..

I have really long, painted, talon nails, which are apparently chavvy and I love themGrin
I also wear fake Uggs and have tattoos and piercings.

I like to think I'm not a chav, but I may well be oneGrin

YABU to use the horrible word chav

I think there's a bit of chav in everyone...it's a matter of personal opinion really.

The Boden clad woman down the road thinks she's the dog's nuts and a cut above everyone...yet she has a butterfly tattoo on her ankle.

To me that screams chav in denial Grin

I have tattoos and used to have lots of piercing and I'm certainly not chavvy Grin

I can't afford to buy 'name' trainers and too wimpy for tattoos or piercing, but I watch shameless and think it would be great to go round swearing, drinking and shagging all day
Worraliberty-Actually I am Boden clad so I might be that chav in denial

NettoSuperstar You didn't write your post in text speak so you cannot be a true chav I'm afraid! Wink

Report

southeastastra · 19/04/2011 19:33

how rude to say 'for a change'!!

i agree with usual all the time Grin

i would have thought real 'chavs' care very much what designer clothes they wear - though to me chavs are the new casuals

I love chavvy men there is nothing that turns me on more tbh!

diabolo · 19/04/2011 19:34

Didn't mean to be rude to usualsuspect but she and I are on differing side of the political spectrum, shall we say?

Its ok diabolo ,I know what you meant Grin

I dont think there is anything wrong with the word chav. Everyone round my way is extremely proud of being chavvy. Its seen as compliment!

Report

hardhatdonned · 19/04/2011 19:38

I think the boden brigade are as bad as chavs if that helps :o

Report

NettoSuperstar · 19/04/2011 19:39

I couldn't even re-type my post in text type if I tried.
OK, I fail as a chav, but I'm keeping my talons!
I also love TOWIE, and my new most treasured possession (after my Kenwood Chef) is my signed TOWIE book.

I want to be a chav too, but I can't, as I like good spelling and grammar.Grin

Chavs are so common Grin

Report

K999 · 19/04/2011 19:41

Nettto....IMO if you wear fake "anything" you are a chav Grin

Report

diabolo · 19/04/2011 19:41

I dont even know what a TOWIE is Confused and the "Boden Brigade" - are they allowed to buy stuff from anywhere else?

Cos I have some Boden stuff and it's lasted me years, but it's so expensive I've only got about 6 things and I mix and match with Tu from Sainsbury's Grin

noodle69 · 19/04/2011 19:41

I have never seen anyone wear this boden brand. I had never heard of it until I came on here. Thats no different if everyone is wearing that to the chavvy uniform of air max 90s and fred perry polos really. Its just different styles and areas.

Dim! It's THE ONLY WAY IS ESSEX! I get it now Blush

Report

hardhatdonned · 19/04/2011 19:43

I very much doubt the boden brigade, or bodenites, would dare buy from anywhere else round here for fear of being kicked out the playground by the PTA :o
