to think many, many things are over-publicised?

We all think royal wedding. (but they dont occur very often)

Some things are day in day out month in month out.

I like football and cricket; but the former is vastly overpublicised.

They reprt the match, analyse it on monday; and go on about next saturdays matches all the week

Then there are the rumours. "Rooney wants to be a priest at the end of his playing days" (maybe, maybe not)

"The Special one would like to come back and nanage Crewe Alelexandra."
(not all that likely)

"Fergie says I will go on till I am one hundred."

all good fun in a way. But I think sport could be more sensibly reported.

Depressing to think that Fergie could live to 100.

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 17:59

I'm with you about football. I DON'T BLOODY CARE

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:00

Wimbledon is over-publicised as well. I DON'T BLOODY CARE

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:01

Cheryl Cole. I DON'T BLOODY CARE

TheCrackFox · 19/04/2011 18:01

YANBU

I don't even understand why they have sports reports during news programmes.

I couldn't give a toss who kicked what where.

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:02

or is it Tweedy now? Whatever, I DON'T BLOODY CARE

YouMakeMeWannaLaLa · 19/04/2011 18:05

I agree CrackFox . Why does every bulletin automatically have 5/10 minutes of football sport at the end. Why not have a round up of something else, the soaps for example. They are just as important to some people as sport is.

Not that I would actually want that, just the news please...

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:07

I think there should be a round up of lovely things at the end, like on Newsround. Seriously - reports about teens doing god works in their communities, Spouses looking after their dementing spouses, dogs phoning 99 when their owners collapse.

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:08

Good works, rather

999 - 99 would not work at all

YouMakeMeWannaLaLa · 19/04/2011 18:31

It is tricky dialling with paws though! Grin

Maybe there have been incidences of dogs trying to dial for help but getting fed up and giving up as their paws are too bleddy big and the buttons too small Sad

FlamingJamie · 19/04/2011 18:39

Noses? Pointy tails?

OK OK, dogs who are able to warn their owners of an impending epileptic seizure, toddlers dialling 999, other heartwarming stuff. Just not Potato Boy.

GabbyLoggon · 19/04/2011 18:42

As well as shipping forecast; they could have sh+tting forecasts and even Sh+gging forecasts.

I would draw the line at leagues.

Dogs who sit at their masters graves for more than 18 months.

But Gabby that's sad, not uplifting. We want uplifting (no-football-related)
