The general attitude on MN is a bit of dirt never hurt anyone, don't be too precious, a bit of someone else's snot and a few germs never killed anyone good for the immue system etc etc.

But then it seems everyone hates people who lick their fingers to turn pages or open a carrier bag! How can this be??? Surely it;s a miniscule amount of someone else's saliva - you probably get more on your hand by shaking hands with them!

I don't give a monkeys either way really. You probably get more germs from the money you handle on a daily basis.

I cannot BEAR page lickers.

I also don't like using public toilets because I know that loads of people don't wash their hands, and even though I have washed mine i will have to use the doorknob with other people's pissy remnants.

But then I have never been of the persuasion that 'a bit of dirt won't hurt'. I always like things clean clean clean.

ooh yes public toilet doors and money! I always have to wash my hands ater holding coins (not so much just lifting them with my fingers, but if I have held them for a while in my hand). And bins are disgusting - dont know how people can lean on wheelie bins etc. Other than that, am fairly germ OK

I only lick the bags that I'm using...when I haven't brought my eco friendly jute sacks that is of course :)

And it's either get lick on the bags or you wait the ten minutes it would take me to open a bag otherwise...

I am a page licker, don't mind using public toilets and have never felt the need to wash my hands after handling money. I haven't needed to see a Dr for illness (touches wood!!) for over 10 years. I may be a minger and possibly a slattern but I'm a healthy minger Draw your own conclusons

I'm a page and plastic bag licker. It wasn't until I joined here that I realised I disgust people virtually everyday without trying.

A friend who told me about this place said that some people are disgusted by people who dry their feet using the hairdryers in the gym.

I was drying my feet at the time.

How can you be disgusted by hot air coming out of something and touching something??

That helps to cut down on the disapproval a little.

Sadly I don't have the upper body strength for a handstand.
