On a gorgeous day like this?
They seem offended Im chasing them outside. Mine will play out but the visitors seem confused.

No, YANBU, they should definitely be making the most of this weather!

i find they do tend to drift inside after a while. I don't actually insist they play out - but on a nice day it would give me a chance to to clean the house be good if they would.

Arghh, I used to hate it when my mum did this to me! I don't like hot weather at all! ;)

I guess other kids toys are exciting!

I hated being made to go outside especially when the adults stayed inside!

YANBU. I once took DD and her little friend over to the park to play on the swings and the little girl said "Ive never been to the swings"

Shock she was 6!

of course kids need to be outside, sunshine is good for them

the kids next door seem to be having a whale of a time in their garden today

I have them outside as I hate other peoples kids going through my kids stuff! The number of times the kids have got upset because a visiting child has lost the bits to a game or made an almighty mess and then refused to tidy up has set my mind against them being in the house. If there is a reason for a child to be here rather than calling just to play then I and kids get out what the kids want out and the rest of the toys are off limits. I realise that that may be seen as a bit U but after one memorable visit when my cousins child trashed 3 games, my sons favourite action figure and lost 2 DS games because he didnt want to share, I vowed never again! My cousin totally refused to contribute to the replacements btw, and we dont really speak now as her PSB could never possibly misbehave Hmm

You play out or you dont play here!
