Eurovision ....what's the point?

Just watching a programme about this year's Eurovision and Blue's massive enthusiam for it.

Have we really got a cat in hells chance? Isn't it all political at the end of the day?

I think we think it has to be cheesy but if we actually put something a bit more up to date in we might get more votes

Its fun.

The voting system has changed so we do have a small chance.

We can laugh at what passes for talent in Ireland some of our neighbouring countries.

Its a bit of fun. We had a Eurovision party when I was studying abroad and everyone dressed as a representative of one of the countries competing.

I used to quite like it back in the day when I'd heard of all the countries, and probably been to most of them.

Isn't it graham norton hosting it now? i like him too. but he's em, not as subtle as terry.

Seriously! Are they in it for ireland? I didn't know this.
We ony watch because of the off-the-wall bizarre moments you sometimes get.

Anyway - we wouldn't want to win this year would we? If we did win then we would have to host it next year and what with the Olympics and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee that would start to be alot of ceremonies to pay for.

God I love Eurovision! I'm double loving it this year because I get back from (very) overseas on the 14th in great time to watch it. Jedward's single is amazing by Eurovision standards.

I'm still seething 4 years on that didn't win for Ukraine. That was the best thing I have ever seen.

Also agree with 5Foot5 - imagine how much it would cost to host Eurovision. Course we don't want to win it Grin.
