To think you can't remake Ben Hur?

OMG!!! Really? I second your Nooooooooooo,there is no way on gods green earth that can be remade and be anywhere near as good as the original,its sacrilege

I've never seen any of them but Ben Hur should not be touched.

I only know these four as I loudly proclaimed at work that ALL remakes were inferior to the originals. After much discussion, I had to concede these four. No others though as far as I'm aware!

Do you realise how many horses died in the original film? I wouldnt watch this film on point of principle.At least a remake may have animal welfare legislation.

I watched 'Arthur' this afternoon with Dudley Moore. I hope Russell Brand doesn't crucify the remake.

Um, are none of you aware that the Charlton Heston version of Ben Hur was itself a remake? The original was made in 1925.
