I've had enough of TK Max queues

Why is it that every TK Maxx shop has unbearable queues, always plenty of tills but usually only 1 or 2 staff at them, I don't get it, they seem to have a policy of keeping you queuing. It's so annoying, then finally when you get served they say sorry to keep you waiting, have a nice day. By this time you are so fed up how can you have a nice day, just put on extra staff for goodness sake AIBU?

That's why it's cheap - no staff.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 15/04/2011 15:23

You can't ave it both ways !

fedupalready · 15/04/2011 15:26

so thats the reason, cos its cheap, still annoying they could provide seating I might be tempted to buy a chair then. Grin

TK Maxx is like a jumble sale

LaWeasel · 15/04/2011 15:29

I think most of the staff spend their time trying to unjumble the stock, and stop people shoplifting in the changing rooms.

MaisyMooCow · 15/04/2011 15:31

TK Max is a breeze compared to Primark !

chrisonabike · 15/04/2011 15:32

it's because they're trying to tempt you into buying the opened packets of sugared almonds / pot pourri that line the shelves by the checkouts

beesimo · 15/04/2011 16:36

I think they are idiots to let the queues reach the size they do. Many times myself and my DDs decide on something see the length of the wait to cash out and think stuff it lets go to HOF. To actually get people to the point of purchase and then lose the sale is madness. I have written to them and suggested a cash only set of tills, got a reply were stating they couldn't do that due to money laundering!!!
