my new dyson from Sainsburys

gutted
went on offers of the day this morning and sainsburys were selling a dyson with 70% off the price
so i purchased one for the grand price of £71 so happy phoned dh

Sainsburys called at 3pm to say there has been a online fault and they cannot sell me the dyson for that much so my order has been cancelled and my money will be back into my bank in 3 days

they said it was meant to be £70 off not 70% off

Is that legal tis the first question that comes to my empty head mind?

no i didnt knickers just thought it was a limited offer as it sold out in 10 mins

yes its legal its not a sale until you get a confirmation email to say its on its way

As long as they change it when you bring it to their attention its legal, normally they do offer it at the lower price, but something that expensive I guess they won't. I would send a letter outlining how disappointed you were and how inconvenient having £71 out of your account for 3 days was. They'll probably send you some good will vouchers.
