To wear flip flops while driving?

Am I?

I have this argument with my Dad every summer! I feel that I can drive comfortably and safely. I've never had an accident so do you consider flip flops to be inappropriate driving footwear?!

I've always driven in flip flops but only recently has dp actually noticed and been really shocked that I do.

I drive with nothing on my feet - I find it means I can 'feel' what the car is doing so much better than with anything on my feet. Beware though, in some countries it's illegal not to have footwear on whilst driving.

I used to drive in flip-flops until one day, as approaching a roundabout the peddle got stuck in a really akward angle between the flip-flop and my foot.

Was really scary,Luckily was fine but would not take such an risk again
