I am just Envy that you look young enough to be mistaken for a young teen.

I look like Dot Cotton.

LaWeasel · 12/04/2011 11:51

That happened to my friend t'other day! She said she just said no, she had no idea when they'd back and closed the door. Grin

I have every right to show off, its been a very long time since I was actually a teenager let alone one young enough to live with my mum Grin. It did make my day though called DH at work and was laughing so hard it took him a while to find out what I found so funny. Actually tiwas not so much that he what he said but the expression on his face when DS came calling me that was priceless.

pjmama · 12/04/2011 16:17

When I was about 14 years old (long time ago!) I answered the door in my school uniform. The salesman on the doorstep asked me if I was the homeowner...?

BitOfFunnyBunny · 12/04/2011 16:18

I don't know how to tell you this but when my fil was training to do door to door sales they told them to say stuff like this to anyone under 40 Grin.

curlyredhead · 12/04/2011 17:11

I got that a year or so ago - he said 'is your mum in?' and as it happened she was visiting, so I said 'yes she is, but this is actually my house' - he seemed a bit embarrassed, rather than it being a sales pitch.

leothelioness · 12/04/2011 17:18

Bea he obviously missed that sales lesson.
He was so clearly embarassed by it that I doubt it was part of his sales technique plus he left before trying to sell me anything!
